About
Wildwood // an uncultivated wood or forest that has been allowed to grow naturally.
Derived from the official subdivision name on many of the home deeds in this neighborhood, Wildwood harkens back to a time when this section of Tulsa was known as the outskirts. The homes built in Wildwood existed in a wooded escape from the burgeoning downtown settlement of our city.
Over the years, the city has blossomed and billowed well beyond the Wildwood neighborhood, defined as the area between 22nd Place & 26th Street, Yorktown Avenue and Lewis Avenue. Now situated in the heart of the action, Wildwood is quaint and quiet while still easily accessible to Tulsa’s best amenities.
An architecturally diverse and historic neighborhood, Wildwood stakes its claim as an easy, comfortable, walkable district steps from schools, religious institutions, shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, and more.
The Wildwood Neighborhood Association is not an HOA. Wildwood is a City of Tulsa recognized neighborhood association, as of Summer 2022. There are no regular dues and participation is completely voluntary. The association is a loose network of neighbors coming together for discrete projects, advocacy efforts and social events.
Organizers
Aaron Miller (23rd Street) and Conor Cleary (25th Street) kicked off the initial organization of the Wildwood Neighborhood Association. If you’re interested in getting more involved in the plans for Wildwood, please get in touch! We welcome all ideas and efforts.
